Drumming is now known and recognised for having huge benefits for wellbeing and healing and powerful therapeutic benefits also. The meditative qualities of listening to and doing of bring the body into a state of incredibly profound relaxation, allowing healing to happen.
Drums have been used for thousands of years in a healing context, and are central to shamanic practices.
Drumming is also now proven by scientific studies to do something our souls have always known, it heals on multiple levels as it resets the nervous system and enables us to absorb frequency in a unique and powerful way.
This immensely relaxing and calming session invites you to absorb the different sounds of the drum, allow it to take you into its different rhythms and hand over to a restorative process, slowing everything right down and gently supporting you into a place of stillness and calm.
When you are calm, you listen to yourself. You are able to see things clearly in life, you make decisions based on what you need, you start to discern and to become empowered through using your intuition.
This training is NOT circle training, it is a soundbath training specifically.
What does the Shamanic Sound Bath involve?
The session starts with a relaxation technique and meditation, and the main drum session follows (which lasts about 40 to 45 minutes) you lie down with your eyes closed and we end with gentle sounds to guide you back.
I personally find this session enormously helpful for alleviating anxiety, slowing the mind, and calming the body. It is also a huge healing of negative energies and reconnecting to SOUL. When you complete it, you rise from your mat feeling clarity, calmness and a huge sense of stillness. The mind slows, the body stands a chance of restoring itself, the nervous system calms. Colours and shapes frequently appear sharper and the effects can last for several days.
I teach it as a 1 hour session but it can be adapted easily.
I provide drums for your use during the in person ttraining as well as advice on what drum to buy for yourself.
