5 ways to release unwanted thoughts

I get it. We get in our own way all the time.

And unwanted thoughts hold us back, make us feel less than and begin to shape a story which simply isn't true, unless we give it power.

So here are 5 ways to help you, when an unwanted thought comes up, so you can send it back to source and clear the way for you to feel better about you.

1. Burn it.

Yes, write it down and set fire to it (safely), first hold it to your heart, set the intention to let it go, see the transformation as the thought goes, and release the stuck feelings as you watch it dissolve and become ash.

2. Dance it.

Put on THE most potent, beautiful, uplifting, euphoric pice of music you can find and play it loud, dance until the song has finished, releasing negativity out of your body.

3. Walk it.

Get out and walk in nature, touch leaves, trees, plants, collect sticks, find beautiful stones, and set the intention that once you come home, the thoughts stay out of the door.

4. Cleanse it.

Light some herbs, palo santo, smudge and smoke this around you, above you, to each side of you, create a circle of smoke and ask for the negative energies to be lifted and removed as you breathe in the new and breathe out the old.

5. Journal it.

Sit, breathe, write. Write it all down, everything that is making you feel anxious, angry, feel less than, feel fearful, feel depressed, feel destructive, feel negative, all of it. Until you are done. Then say 'I release these thoughts, they are not me, they are passing through me, I have compassion, I have kindness to myself, I love myself fiercely and completely'
