A sacred ritual for Samhain Weekend

Samhain ritual

SAMHAIN

HALLOWEEN

THE DAY OF THE DEAD

and also known by other names, creates an opportunity to reconnect to creation.

Phenomenal Soul,

The circle of life and death brings us to a completion here, this weekend, the most potent days being 31st October and 1st and 2nd November.

Here, the veil of the two worlds is at its total thinnest, and the venture into the realm of ancestors is accessible and powerful.

It is a time to both remember those who are no longer here and go deeper into our own death, death of cycles, seasons, letting go and accepting impermanence so that we can see just how fragile and wondrous this short sweet sacred existence is.

YES.

It is a time to appreciate every sacred breath, and to know life is a gift.

Celebrate this through. establishing your own connection or reconnection with life, death and rebirth.

A SACRED RITUAL FOR SAMHAIN WEEKEND

You will need a candle, some time alone and something to carry your finds back in.

Go out into nature and collect fallen leaves, earth and sticks.

Mindfully ask our earth mama if you can take, and give thanks as you do.

As you collect set the intention to be guided to connect to your ancestors, wherever they maybe, that this sacred earth represents our existence, our blood, flesh, bones.

Once you have gathered your nature tools, find a quiet space where you can be alone, either indoors or out.

Create a piece of art, a mandala, or spiral, or picture laying out the earth, soil and sticks.

Connect to each feeling the textures, memories and echoes of each, sensing with your intuition how this connects you to the land, and beyond your immediate situation.

Meditate by holding your hands to the ground, then to your solar plexus, then to your heart and finally to the sky.

Set the intention to open dialogue with all the support from your ancestors, pledge to be open to the love that life itself gives and provides, in abundance.

Send love to anyone you wish who has already passed over.

Also send love to your death cycles, to your rebirth and your life.

Then light your candle, igniting that timeless connection with SOUL and EVERYTHING.

Stay in stillness, with your heart and mind open.

Then celebrate in JOY.
